La Tonya Brown
Founder & Executive Director
As the founder and Executive Director of Leading Ladies Inc., I am incredibly proud of the impact we have had on the lives of the young ladies we serve.
I am proud of our organization's ability to adapt and innovate in response to the changing needs of our girls. Whether it's launching new programs, forming strategic partnerships, or leveraging technology to reach more individuals, we are continuously striving to improve and expand our impact. Together, we are making a difference and shaping a brighter future for the next generation.
I believe that every girl deserves a supportive environment where she can grow, learn, and flourish. I am committed to creating a safe space, where girls feel valued, accepted, and empowered to be their authentic selves. Through our programs and initiatives, I strive to foster a sense of belonging and community, where girls can build meaningful connections, explore their passions, and discover their strengths.
I am dedicated to providing opportunities for growth and advancement, equipping girls with the skills, resources, and support they need to succeed in all aspects of life. Whether it's through educational programs, career development initiatives, or personal empowerment workshops, I am committed to opening doors and expanding horizons for our participants.

Shar'ron Mason
Board Member
Shar'ron Mason has a passion for helping families, couples and individuals to become their best selves and to live fulfilling lives. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
In addition to being a therapist, Shar’ron loves empowering others through her written works. She published several books first book, Marriage Ain’t for Punks, Even Boss Ladies Need a Break, and Entrepreneurship Ain’t for Punks as well as her his and hers gratitude journals. Most recently, Shar’ron released three children’s books, which seeks to support positive self-esteem and greater emotional intelligence.
Shar’ron enjoys working with young ladies through Leading Ladies youth organization and facilitating workshops and retreats that focus on healthy relationships and self-love. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends in her spare time.


Sherie Scott
Board Member
Sherie L. Scott is a servant leader with the Indiana Charter School Board as the Director of Schools. In her role she oversees and provides academic, curriculum, community resources, and leadership coaching and support to 40 schools throughout the State of Indiana, serving 10,000 students.
She is the business owner of The Sophisticated Diva online boutique. Sherie is also very involved and active in her community and with youth. She serves as a board member and mentor with the Leading Ladies Mentoring Program. Sherie is also a mentor to a 9th grade scholars with Providence Cristo Rey High School. Sherie is an active member of the Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Top Ladies of Distinction Indianapolis Chapter, National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc. Education Sorority.
Jasheena Shelton
Board Member
With over 25 years of experience in business, ministry, and community leadership, Jasheena equips diverse audiences from corporate teams to faith-based communities with tools to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Raised in rural Virginia and now rooted in Indianapolis, she brings a grounded, relational approach to every room she enters.
As the founder of a successful family mentoring agency and a certified Master Trainer, she has led transformative programs that bridge generational gaps, foster emotional resilience, and promote ethical leadership. Her recent certification as an AI Specialist (CompTIA) reflects her commitment to democratizing technology and making artificial intelligence accessible, especially for underrepresented communities. Through signature programs like AI After Hours and 1Step Grief Support, she blends technical insight with spiritual wisdom empowering others to reclaim their voice, navigate change, and lead with integrity.
